Detroit Justice Center Artist Residency July 23, 2020 - August 17, 2020 We believe that creativity and art are essential to imagining and building a world where every human life is valued with equal care and consideration and disposing of people is no longer considered justice. The Forge will provide basic art supplies and home furnishings in the shared living spaces. Teaching artists Sicily McRaven and Stephanie Howells led visual arts residencies with 4th graders, integrating the Science curriculum into arts experiments and projects. The home is equipped with 3 bedrooms, 2 visual art studios, and a basement for music jams and shows. Building Collaborative Community. The collegeâs Student Exhibition is a juried art show, beginning May 15 and running for two weeks after, with work by students â freshmen through seniors â who have been selected by faculty members to participate. These panelists will be announced with the selected artists. Residencies are usually 1-2 months long and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis unless stated otherwise. Curating Good Vibes . Established in 2019 in the Hudson Valley in Livingston, NY, Interlude Artist Residency is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting a flourishing practice for visual artists who are actively parenting. The Local Dance Artist Residency is awarded to 2 local artists annually, and is limited to Southeast Michigan based dance artists.
